Unicorns Puke
Wat een feest, ik heb de give-away van de getalenteerde Judith gewonnen! Judith is 16, heeft een inspirerend blog en maakt ontzettend leuke sieraden die ze verkoopt in haar webwinkel Unicorns Puke. Ik wist al dat ze enorm creatief is, maar was toch blij verrast met het geweldige pakketje dat ik deze week ontving.
Judith, nogmaals onwijs bedankt, ik ben heel blij met het kunstwerk voor mijn nek!
How great, I’ve won the give-away by the talented Judith! Judith is 16 years old, has an inspiring blog and she designs super cute jewelry which she sells in her web shop Unicorns Puke. I knew about her massive creativity, but was surprised by the great package she sent me nonetheless.

Boenen
Op onze eerste vakantiedag huurden we een boenmachine. Mijn T. vloog ermee over onze cementtegelvloeren. De tegels zijn bijna een eeuw oud, dus konden wel een schoonmaakbeurt gebruiken. Nu nog een beschermlaag en ze kunnen er weer een tijd tegenaan.
On the first day of our holiday we rented a scrub machine. My T. was at the wheel of the machine and cleaned the cement tile floors. The tiles are nearly a century old, so they could use a good scrub. Now we are going to give them a protection layer and they are good to go for a while.
Blessed
Een mooie week achter de rug, met zon aan het begin en herfst aan het eind. Dat weekje warmte heeft me opgeladen en gaf zin in de herfst. Op de markt kocht ik mandarijnen, ze zijn weer heerlijk zurig nu, verse vijgen en een pompoen. Ik ging ook naar de kringloop en daar vond ik weer wat leuke dingen, waaronder deze ritsen. Vandaag ging ik op feest bij Froukje en Jorg. Zo vaak zie ik ze niet, dus dat was extra leuk.
En: we hebben komende twee weken vakantie (om een paar kleine klussen in huis te doen), wat een zegen!!
I’ve had a great week, with sun at the start and autumn at the end. The week of warmth we had was good and made the start of the colder seasons much nicer. At the market I bought mandarins, I love their sour taste in this time of year, fresh figs and a pumpkin. I also went to the thrift store and I found some nice stuff, including these zippers. Today I went to a party at Froukje and Jorg‘s. Extra special because I don’t see them that often.
And: we have vacation the next two weeks (for a bit of work on the house), what a blessing!!

Lomo-saturday
Een paar weken geleden plukte ik bramen met Opa. De foto’s zijn genomen met een rolletje dat over de houdbaarheidsdatum was, met de Olympus Trip 35 camera.
A few weeks ago I picked blackberries with Grandpa. The pictures are taken with a expired filmrole and the Olympus Trip 35 camera.

Cutting Edges
Vorige week kocht ik bij webwinkel Een Nieuw Avontuur het boek Cutting Edges. Wat een boek zeg. Mijn hart maakt een sprongetje bij elke omgeslagen bladzijde. De collage op de kaft is van Jelle Martens, op foto twee werk van Eduardo Recife en op de laatste foto prachtige collages van Julien Pacaud.
Last week I bought the Cutting Edges book at webshop Een Nieuw Avontuur. What a book. My heart jumped every time I turned a page. The collage on the cover is by Jelle Martens, picture two shows work by Eduardo Recife and on the last picture beautiful collages by Julien Pacaud.

Blessed
Wat een mooi weer deze week, het was echt genieten met de zon en warmte. We vierden een paar mooie verjaardagen, ik ging naar de stad met vrienden en ging vandaag met mijn lieve zusje naar een rommelmarkt. Zij kocht meer dan ik: een unicum. Verder kreeg ik zomaar rozen bij de supermarkt en ontving ik een prachtige kaart van een schrijfvriendin. Wat een geluk, zo’n kunstwerk in de bus.
The weather was so good this week, I enjoyed the sun and warmth very much. We celebrated some nice birthdays, I went shopping with friends and went to a flea market with my dear sister today. She bought more than I did: unique. I received roses at the supermarket and I got a beautiful postcard from a pen-friend. What a blessing, to receive a work of art in the mail.

Lomo-saturday
Deze week zag je op enigheid al heel wat analoge foto’s, afgelopen zaterdag genomen. Die maakte ik overigens lichter en knipte ik uit, om het zoveel mogelijk waarheidsgetrouw te laten zijn. Op lomo-saturday niets van dat: pure foto’s zonder digitale aanpassingen.
Boven kat Aart bovenop de verwarmingsketel, genomen met de Diana camera, met rode flits. Onder kat Schurk in ons tuintje, met de Olympus trip.
This week on enigheid a lot of analogue photography, taken last saturday. I made those somewhat lighter en cropped them, to make them more truthful. On lomo-saturday I don’t use photoshop: pure pictures without digital enhancements.
On top cat Aart, on top of the heating unit, taken with my Diana camera, with red flash. Underneath cat Schurk in our small garden, with the Olympus trip.
